Gardone Riviera

Gardone, Lake Garda

Situated on the Brescian shore of Lake Garda, Gardone is one of the municipalities forming part of the Alto Garda Bresciano regional park.

The surrounding mountains, which shelter Gardone from cold winds, favour the presence of plants such as palm trees, banana trees, and caper trees in the area.

Gardone’s fame derives mainly from the presence of the well-known Vittoriale degli Italiani, an exceptional monumental complex commissioned by the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio.

Curiosity: Gardone is included in the list of Italy's most beautiful villages.
