Sirmione, Garda Lake

Located on the Brescia shore at the southernmost point of Lake Garda, Sirmione is an important cultural and spa centre spread over a peninsula of about 4 km.

Its historical centre, characterised by narrow, irregular alleys and small traditional shops, is rich in history and culture.

Once frequented and loved by the poet Valerius Catullus, Sirmione was called ‘The Pearl of Lake Garda’ by the poet himself.

Curiosity: Sirmione is home to the ruins of the Roman Villa and the famous Catullus caves.
